The Scientific Proof

Beyond the glowing testimonials, the scientific evidence behind ROADOG tells the story.

Just check out these four photos taken by a heat-sensing camera in a deep freeze container.

The numbers on the side represent the amount body heat that is lost when comparing different clothing items.

Image 1: Our test subject only wears a t-shirt and loses 18°C (65°F) or half of his body temperature.

Image 2: Our test subject wears the classic motorcycling t-shirt and leather jacket combo but still loses 8.2°C (47°F) in body heat.

Image 3: Our test subject wears nothing but the ROADOG top and virtually does not lose any heat.

Image 4: Our test subject wears the ROADOG top and a leather jacket and actually traps in 2.8°C (37°F) of additional heat.

Roadog Merino Wool Motorcycle Top

Here is the technical data behind this stylish motorcycling top:

Merino Fleece

  • 100% NZ Merino
  • 5/20.5 Micron
  • Breathable
  • Antibacterial properties
  • Superior wicking qualities
  • Remains warm when damp

  • 65% Olefin
  • 35% Polyester

Thinsulate provides 150% of the insulation value of down and twice the value of a high loft insulation. Thinsulate also absorbs less than 1% of its weight in water and retains its insulating ability in damp conditions.

The unique microfibers of Thinsulate insulation are about 10 times smaller than other fibres of synthetic insulations. Because the fibres are so fine, they are much more effective at trapping in the warm air.

Hydrotex Chopper

  • 71% Polyester
  • 29% PU
  • Weight 135 gsm

Hydrotex Chopper is a three-layer fabric made from a polyester interlock face fabric, TPU 5000mm, WP3000 gsm, m2 24hr membrane and a lightweight microfleece.

Mid Weight Merino

  • 100% Merino
  • 5 micron
  • Great stretch and rebound properties
